River Stort Sculpture Trail
There is even more to see and do along the River Stort with the unveiling of the River Stort Sculpture Trail
Harlow is well known for its sculptures with over 60 in and around the town including pieces by famous artists such as Henry Moore, Elisabeth Frink, Ralph Brown, F.E.McWiliam and Lynn Chadwick.
It now has four new sculptures and a raised walkway to add to the list.
As part of British Waterway's £1 million improvement plan to make the towpath from Harlow to Roydon more accessible, it has specially commissioned four sculptures and a raised walkway in celebration of the heritage of the waterway.
Each of the four sculptures has a historic reference to its location and has been fabricated in either sandstone or concrete. The walkway, at Parndon Mill, incorporates both natural flora as well
as manmade objects that relate to the Mill and the lock.
The best way, of course, to see and travel between the sculptures is by boat on a canal boat hired from the Project. To find out more or follow the trail,
